The winners of the 3rd Republican Innovation Competition have been determined

As reported, in May 2019, the Ministry of Economy and the representative office of the United Nations Development Program in Azerbaijan announced the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals arising from the "Transformation of our world: Agenda for Sustainable Development until 2030", encouraging innovations, as well as "Azerbaijan 2020: Vision for the Future". "The Third Republican Innovation Competition was announced in order to support the implementation of the Development Concept and "Strategic Roadmaps for the main sectors of the national economy and economy". Ministries of Transport, Communication and High Technologies, Culture, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Ernst & Young Holdings (SiAyEs) Bi.Vi." more than 200 projects in the economic, social and environmental fields were submitted to the competition held in partnership with the Azerbaijan branch of the company.

In the Evaluation Commission, 3 projects were considered winners based on the priority of innovative ideas and the possibility of their implementation;

First place - "The Secret of longevity" project;
Second place - "Nanomebrane" project;
Third place - "Digital museum" project.
In addition, in order to support innovative activity, the following projects were awarded incentive awards:

"Call me", "Heal with" and "Penteston" projects nominated by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies;
"Digital Museum" project nominated by the Ministry of Culture;
"Call me" project nominated by the State Agency for Service to Citizens and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
"Ernst & Young Holdings (SiAyEs) Bi.Vi." "Nanomebrane" project on the nomination of the company's branch in Azerbaijan;
"Wasco" project nominated by the Azerbaijan Delegation of the United Nations Development Program.
Prizes in the amount of 5000 manats for the 1st place, 3000 manats for the 2nd place and 2000 manats for the 3rd place will be given to the winners of the competition.

2 projects that qualified for the final took part in the "STARTUP Day" program held in Estonia on January 28-31 this year with the support of the United Nations Development Program.

It should be noted that the awarding ceremony of the Third Republic Innovation Competition has been postponed in accordance with the rules of the special regime applied to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

In this regard, the winners of the Competition and those awarded incentive nominations are requested to contact the Department of Sustainable Development and Social Policy of the Ministry of Economy to transfer the prizes to the bank accounts of the project team members.
